A Warning: White racism in White House is being normalized

While the media was having fun at the White House Correspondents Dinner in Washington, DC on the hundredth day of the Donald Trump presidency. He has doing his own thing with some of his most loyal supporters in Harrisburg, PA.

Neil Makhija being thrown out of Trump rally
On the stage behind him can be seen at least two members of the Biker's for Trump organization, identified by their distinctive red, white, blue and yellow logo [can you spot the third?]. Biker's for Trump is claimed to have 30,000 members according to its leader Chris Cox, and has been associated with the Trump militia Lions Guard.

At the Saturday rally, the bikers were doing security, and in one case that got some attention, they roughed up and threw a person of color out of the rally.

This story has not gotten the media attention it deserves. I guess they were all pre-occupied elsewhere. That is Item 1.

Item 2

The Donald Trump comments that came out yesterday about Andrew Jackson and the Civil War hit a high note in dog whistle land. Almost nobody is talking about that, and that may be the most important part of the story because it is part of the normalization of white racism in the White House that we are now being subjected to. You may notice now, how even outstanding white nationalists like Steve Bannon and Stephen Miller are never referred to as such in the media. It's alway "alt-right" or some such. And they never talk about the international context of this growing white supremacist threat. They never call Marine Le Pen or Vladimir Putin white nationalists or make those connects to Trump. Even Democracy Now doesn't do that.

Everybody in the mainstream media has reported on these comments though, even Democracy Now:
In one of his latest interviews, President Trump sparked confusion—and ridicule—by questioning why, exactly, the Civil War was fought, and suggesting former President Andrew Jackson could have averted the war itself—had he not been dead for 16 years by the time it began.
President Donald Trump: "I mean, had Andrew Jackson been a little bit later, you wouldn’t have had the Civil War. He was—he was a very tough person, but he had a big heart. And he was—he was really angry that he saw what was happening with regard to the Civil War. He said, ’There’s no reason for this.’ People don’t realize, you know, the Civil War—"
Salena Zito: "Yeah, was—"
President Donald Trump: "You think about it, why? People don’t ask that question. But why was there the Civil War? Why could—why could that one not have been worked out?"
The Civil War was fought over the expansion of slavery in the United States. President Jackson was a slaveholder. Princeton University history professor Julian Zelizer said Trump’s comments were the "height of inaccurate historical revisionism."
They are laughing at Trump, and they are inviting us to laugh along with them. But that would be a mistake because Trump is probably laughing too.

Trump wasn't trying to teach a history lesson. He was sending a message to the most extreme elements of his base. He may well know the history better than he lets on. His apparent stupidity may be a distraction. The reason Trump may be laughing at us, is that he thinks we are too busy laughing at him to notice that he has just sent a message from the Oval Office to the most extreme fascist and racist groups in the United States:

"I am one of you!"

This is a message we had better hear too, because it means we have a white supremacist in control of the Federal government.

Trump may have gotten his ideas about the Civil War from this book, The Politically Incorrect Guide to The Civil War, from the conservative publisher Regnery Publishing, that claims "If there had been no Civil War, the South would have abolished slavery peaceably."  Donald Trump knows this publishing house well since it also published his Time to Get Tough.

Yesterday, as if to erase any doubt, he doubled-down in his Twitter feed:
The white nationalists heard him loud and clear.

Donald Trump's love of Andrew Jackson sends a direct messages to the most extreme white supremacists. Jackson was probably our most racist president before Trump, and they love him too. When Trump visited the grave of Andrew Jackson on 15 March, they noticed. The white nationalist VDARE website noticed, running this headline and picture:

Trump Honors Andrew Jackson
on 250th Birthday

The fascist Daily Stormer recounted David Duke's defense of a statue of Andrew Jackson in New Orleans with a picture story today as their way of saying "message" received.

Today the Daily Stormer ran this picture of David
Duke defending a statue of Andrew Jackson.

The racist VDARE website went with a fundraising campaign to keep Andrew Jackson on the twenty dollar bill and Harriet Tubman off.

They were active on Twitter too:

Dave Duke was giddy with excitement! He never dreamed in a million years that he would hear such talk coming from the White House:

DavidDuke.com reported today:
Today Dr. Duke and Dr. Slattery discussed lesser-known aspects of the so-called Civil War, World War I, and World War II. There was a massive Jewish role in sparking both World Wars, and there is a Jewish disinformation campaign regarding the Civil War. After the Civil War, the two sides buried the hatchet and honored each other’s heroes. Today, the Zionist extremists have dug up the hatchet and are attacking the South in particular but ultimately traditional white America in support of the rightful owners of this country: transgender multicultural immigrants!
While another white nationalist website, Occidental Dissent, embraced Trump's view of the civil war:

I could go on, but you get the picture. These people have some very ugly things in mind for America and the World, and now they have access to state power at the highest level. Thanks to the victory of the greater of two evils, this is a very dangerous time for America and the World. We best be on guard.
