I said he was doing this because Trump did not see the election as his only road to power. He is actually so presumptuous as to consider a fascist seizure of power if he loses the election and both his Second Amendment comment, and his charge that Obama and Clinton founded ISIS were addressed to his Second Amendment people and designed to prepare them to support an armed insurrection against the US government.
I also predicted that as he drops in the polls, and his chances of obtaining power legally waned, we could expect to see more preparation along these lines.
It didn't take long. Today Trump's poll numbers dropped again and CNN is reporting:
This fits a pattern. Many commentators are saying he's just preparing an excuse for losing now that he is clearly dropping in the polls. I disagree and think it's very dangerous to underestimate The Donald. I read him as a man who craves power and is quite willing to break laws if he can't get what he wants legally. We all should prepare ourselves for the possibility that it may not be enough to beat him at the polls. I don't read Donald Trump as the type of megalomaniac who will go quietly into that good night just because he lost an election.Trump: If Clinton wins Pennsylvania, she cheated

Donald Trump declared Friday that there's only one way he could lose the state of Pennsylvania: if he's cheated out of it.
"We're going to watch Pennsylvania. Go down to certain areas and watch and study and make sure other people don't come in and vote five times," he said at a rally in Altoona, Pennsylvania. "If you do that, we're not going to lose. The only way we can lose, in my opinion -- I really mean this, Pennsylvania -- is if cheating goes on."
Trump said that Republican leaders in the state "are very concerned" about the possibility of cheating -- adding that "we have to call up law enforcement, and we have to have the sheriffs and the police chiefs and everybody watching."
Hillary Clinton's lead in the polls in Pennsylvania is solid -- a Quinnipiac survey of likely voters released Tuesday found Clinton leading Trump 52% to 42%. But both candidates are devoting significant resources to the state, which has a base of working class voters that Trump's campaign hopes could work in his favor. More...
We can expect more of these "outbursts" that seem nonsensical to us but read as clear messages to this right-wing militia/white supremacist "Second Amendment people." They take them very seriously, so we must take them seriously too and be prepared not only to reject this fascist/white chauvinist attempt to seize power through the democratic process, but to defend it against extra-legal assaults by Trump's "Second Amendment people" as well.
