Neo: The Matrix?
Morpheus: Do you want to know what it is? The Matrix is everywhere. It is all around us, even now in this very room. You can see it when you look out your window or when you turn on your television. You can feel it when you go to work, when you go to church, when you pay your taxes. It is the world that has been pulled over your eyes to blind you from the truth.
Neo: What truth?
Morpheus: That you are a slave, Neo. Like everyone else you were born into bondage, born into a prison that you cannot smell or taste or touch. A prison for your mind. Unfortunately, no one can be told what the Matrix is. You have to see it for yourself. This is your last chance. After this there is no turning back. You take the blue pill, the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill, you stay in Wonderland, and I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes. Remember, all I'm offering is the truth, nothing more. Follow me

There are the latest bulletins from EAWorldView:
1810 GMT: Syria. Russia has made a direct threat that any attack on its naval base in Tartous will be met with extreme prejudice:
"If the armed Syrian opposition ventures to implement their threat and to attack the Russian naval supplies and maintenance facility, Russia has ample capabilities in the region now to provide an adequate response. We won't recommend hotheads in the Syrian opposition doing that," a source in the Russian General Staff told the Interfax news agency. What's fascinating is the source also added a line about the Syrian government having stepped up their support of the base as well.
Also interesting, the word "now," indicating that the Russians have significantly stepped up their ability to strike targets inside Syria.
Still, it's an unverified threat from a low-level anonymous staff member. One would expect any attack on Russian property to be met with force. What's interesting isn't the content of the report - it's the fact that a threat was made in the first place. Whether this was a direct response to a threat from insurgents, or a provocation, is not known.
1801 GMT: Syria. Today's death toll has risen to 90, according to the Local Coordinating Committees:
30 martyrs in Daraa, 18 martyr in Damascus and its Suburbs, 15 martyr in Aleppo, 10 martyrs in Homs, 8 martyrs in Deir Ezzor, 3 martyrs in Hama, 3 martyrs in Idlib, 2 martyrs in Lattakia, and 1 martyr in Raqqa. So far, most of the fighting in Aleppo appears to have been instigated by the Free Syrian Army, though helicopters have attacked several neighborhoods, and there were reports that bombs have fallen, though it's unclear if that terminology means that jet fighters have once again been used.
The high numbers of casualties in Damascus are of note. Several neighborhoods, especially in the south, have been shelled today, despite the fact that we have not seen any evidence that there have been clashes between the military and the FSA in Damascus.
In Daraa, the high death toll is another sign that the regime is extremely weary of this region and is willing to shell any city that it suspects may put up a fight. In a region so close to the borders with both Jordan and Lebanon, and a region so close to the capital, the Assad regime suffers no rival. Yet, if today's FSA raids on a police station in the center of Daraa are any indication, like it or not there is an insurgency in Daraa province as well. It's just not as centralized or organized as the insurgency elsewhere.
1745 GMT: Syria. Syrian forces have moved into Darayya, southwest of Damascus (map), with force, and as one can hear, they met some resistance.
Earlier, the CFDPC, a network of activists who report on Damascus and its suburbs, had this report:
Violent shelling continues on the Daraya suburb of Damascus, other 2 corpses have been found so the death toll has risen to 17 (yesterday and today). More than 60 people were reported injured. We're not sure if the death toll has increased since this report.
