MacArthur Park is melting in the dark
Today's ICE raid on MacArthur Park was done by over a hundred ICE agents and soldiers, carrying out military type sweeps, complete with black helicopter air support, while children played. It was a warning of what Los Angeles is in for going forward. That's why Border Patrol Chief Gregory Bovino told the media, "this is going to be normal very soon. We will go anywhere, anytime we want in Los Angeles."

It's no coincidence that this happened on the first workday after Trump signed his big bill into law. Among many other things, that bill gives $170 billion to ICE. That's more than 3 times the annual budget of the US Marines, but that won't stop them from poaching marines for ICE operations.
Expect Trump to spend an unhealthy chunk of that cash on his least favored city in this least favored state. Los Angeles should expect more outrageous and more aggrievance demonstrations from Trump's ICE going forward. He will keep pushing harder and harder. He's trying to provoke a violent response that he can use to crackdown even harder—maybe by declaring martial law in Los Angeles.

We must not give him that opportunity.
He's looking to make an example of Los Angeles. Let's outsmart him. I mean, how hard can that be?
