Why didn't Strzok-Page leak the FBI's Trump campaign investigation?

It seems like forever that Fox News and friends, including US President Donald Trump, have been floating a conspiracy theory that because FBI agent Peter Strzok and FBI attorney Lisa Page revealed an opposition to Trump, shared by a majority of the voters, in their intimate text messages, they must have used their FBI roles to engaged in illegal efforts to stop Donald Trump from becoming president. So far, the biggest hole in their theory is failure to find anything like a shred of evident that either of the two actually did anything to bias the election against Trump.

During the 2016 campaign season, we all knew there had been an ongoing FBI investigation of Hillary Clinton for her use of a private email server. Few knew that there was also a concurrent investigation of the Trump campaign and its connections to Russian efforts to influence the election. But Strzok and Page knew! It seems to me the easiest and most effective way either of them could have rebalanced the scales in favor of Clinton would have been simply to drop dime, and revealed to the media what Comey withheld when he announced the FBI investigation into only one campaign. So, to all those that claim Strzok & Page were hellbent on stopping Donald Trump, based on a carefully curated selection from the private text messages of lovers, I have one question:

Why didn't Strzok-Page leak the FBI's Trump campaign investigation to the media?

Personally, I wish they had.

I also think the Foxy Friends have Strzok out on this one. Maybe they should just turn the Page and move on.

More, later...

UPDATED WITH VIDEO: 13 jULY 2018:

On 12 July, this line of reasoning emerged as one of the main defences against the Republican rampage during the 11 hr long public Peter Strzok congressional hearings. It was echoed by Rep. Zoe Lofgren Rep. Luis V. Gutierrez, Rep. Hakeem Jeffries, and Rep. Watson Coleman, among others. Later, on the opinion shows, Chris Hayes on MSNBC marshaled it, Laura Ingraham on Fox News tried to fight it, and Rachel Maddow on MSNBC gave it a great treatment.
